Celebrate National Ice Cream Month with Cones for a Cause

We celebrate ice cream every day, month, and year at Lick Honest Ice Creams, but there is one month and one day of every year that truly tops the rest. That month is July, National Ice Cream Month, and that day is July 16, National Ice Cream Day. Throughout National Ice Cream Month and on National Ice Cream Day, we and everyone else in this foodie nation have a legitimate excuse to go ice cream crazy, which is why it is without a doubt the most wonderful time of the year for our local ice cream business!

National Ice Cream Month is, however, so much more than an excuse to indulge in the coldest of desserts on the hottest of days. It's also the time for all of us at Lick to ask, "why ice cream?," and to remember our excited customers, the grins on young and old faces enjoying some scoops, and the pure happiness that is ice cream. A cup or a cone filled with honest goodness made us happy and we always aim to share that happiness with those who need it most.

For the second year, we're celebrating the month of July, National Ice Cream Month, with our #ConesForACause campaign to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas and of San Antonio. These charities provide compassionate care and resources to children and their families served by Central Texas and San Antonio-area hospitals. Their programs provide access to quality healthcare while ensuring the families are supported and actively involved in their child's care. This month, volunteers from our Lick family have been (and will continue to be) onsite at our local Ronald McDonald Houses to scoop ice cream for the children and families staying at the houses.

YOU can support this amazing charities WITH US and some ice cream, too!

1. Join us this Sunday, July 16, National Ice Cream Day, to celebrate the best day of the year! 7% of our TOTAL SALES at all of our Austin and San Antonio scoop shop locations will be donated to local Ronald McDonald House Charities! Representatives from the charities will also be onsite that day to provide information about the organization!

2. Simply provide a donation at any of our scoop shops, any day! We have collection boxes set up through the month of July to make donating easy!

3. Purchase tickets (CLICK HERE) to attend our Beer & Ice Cream Pairing Event at Lazarus Brewing Company on Monday, July 31 from 6:30 to 8:30pm. 100% of our proceeds from the event will also be donated to RMHC of Central Texas!

Most importantly, we truly hope that you treat yourself and others to some ice cream this month. And while you're at it: be happy! It's so good for you!
